Gao Ling

Gao Ling is a famous badminton player from China. She was born on March 14, 1979, in Wuhan. Gao is really good at playing doubles in badminton. She has won many big competitions like the Olympics and World Championships. Gao won gold medals in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics with her partner Zhang Jun. People admire her because she's fast and smart on the court. She also won a bunch of World Championship titles. Gao worked really hard, and her success inspires other players. She's considered one of the best badminton players ever.

• Four gold medals at the BWF World Championships, 3 in women’s doubles in the years 2001, 2003, 2006 and one in mixed doubles in 2001
• Two consecutive Olympics gold medals in 2003 and 2004
