Gao Ling

Born on 14th March 1979 in the Hubei Region of China, Gao Ling started grooming her passion for badminton and began playing the sport being only 8 years old. This consistent, forecourt prowess with a sporting smile has a remarkable career graph.

Here are some of her career achievements:

• Four gold medals at the BWF World Championships, 3 in women’s doubles in the years 2001, 2003, 2006 and one in mixed doubles in 2001
• Two consecutive Olympics gold medals in 2003 and 2004
• A bronze in women’s doubles in the Olympics
• Along with Huang, won six consecutive women’s doubles titles at the All-England Championships and made a record
• Three mixed doubles titles with Zhang Jun at the All-England Championships in the years 2001, 2003 & 2006
• Two mixed doubles titles with Zheng Bo at the All-England championships in 2007 & 2008
• Member of the Perennial world champion Chinese Uber Cup team since 2000
