Anton Geesink

Antonius Geesink was the first non-Japanese judoka to win the World Judo Championships in 1961 and 1965. Geesink was also an Olympic Champion. He held a record of winning twenty-one European Judo Championships during his career.

• Bagged two gold medals at the 1962 European Championships, held in Essen
• Captured two gold medals at the 1963 European Championships, held in Geneva

• Won two gold medals at the 1964 European Championships, held in Berlin
• Bagged two bronze medals at the 1965 European Championships, held in Madrid
• Captured three bronze and one silver medal at the 1965 World Championships, held in Rio de Janerio
• Bagged a gold medal at the 1967 European Championships, held in Rome
