Annemarie Moser-Pröll

Born on 27th March 1953, Annemarie Moser-Pröll is a former Alpine Ski racer from Austria who has predominantly participated in downhill, giant Slalom, and combined races. She has won five World Cup races of which three were downhill and two combined.

Her Achievements:-

• Clinched a bronze medal in the downhill event at the World Championships of 1970 that took place in Val Gardena.
• Won 2 silver medals each in Downhill and Giant slalom at the Winter Olympics held in Sapporo in 1972
• In the same year, she earned gold for the combined race at the World Championships that was held in Sapporo
• Annemarie won gold in Downhill race at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 1974, which took place in St. Moritz, Switzerland
• Bagged gold medals in Downhill and combined at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1978, held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, West Germany
• Won a bronze medal for the Giant Slalom at the World Championships of 1978 held in Garmisch
• Poll won her first Olympic gold medal in Alpine Skiing at the Winter Olympics of 1980, held in New York
