Born on 12th May 1987, in Alberta, Canada, Alex Gough is a Canadian Luger who has represented the country in numerous international level competitions, and earned many accolades for that. She has completed her high school from the national sports school in Calgary, where many top athletes have studied.
Her achievements:-
- Earned the fourth position at the Canadian Championship of 2003
- Competed at the Olympic event of 2010, held at Vancouver and spotted 18th position in women's singles
- Earned a bronze medal in women's singles at the FIL World Championship of 2011, held in Cesana
- Secured a silver medal in a mixed team event and a bronze medal in singles at the FIL World Championship of 2013, held in Whistler
- Secured third position (bronze medal) in a mixed team event at the World Championship of 2012, 2015 and 2016 that took place in Altenberg, Sigulda and Königssee respectively
