Born on 25th November 1982, Jhulan Nishit Goswami is an all-round cricketer and a crucial part of the national women's cricket team of India. She also contributed her active participation to the domestic teams such as Bengal Women, East Zone Women and the Asia Women XI women's cricket team.
In 2007, Jhulan was named as the "ICC Women’s Player of the Year" for her prolific performance at international events.
In 2010, the Government of India honored her with the "Arjuna Award" for her vital contribution to women's cricket
In the year 2011, she won the M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for Best Women Cricketer
Also received the prestigious Indian honor "Padma Shri" in the year 2012 from the Indian Government
