Camp Nou which is also referred as Nou Camp, is a football stadium, located at Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. The construction was started in 1954 that took around three years to complete. It is the largest stadium in Spain, as well as in Europe, and the third-largest association football stadium in the world that has hosted many international soccer events such as FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League Finals, and 1992 Summer Olympics. It is the home stadium of famous football clubs FC Barcelona and Catalonia National Football Team. The stadium was designed as Barcelona’s previous stadium Camp De Les Corts that could not be expanded. It underwent an expansion in 1980 for the FIFA World Cup of 1982. The stadium underwent renovation in 1993 during which the ground was lowered by 2.5 meters. Later on, it was planned to remodel the stadium on the 50th anniversary. Apart from hosting various national and international level soccer events, it has also hosted various concerts of famous artists such as Julio Iglesias, U2, and Michael Jackson.
