Cheteshwar Pujara, born January 25, 1988, in Rajkot, India, is a respected cricketer celebrated for his solid batting style and resilience on the field. Known as "The Wall," Pujara made a memorable Test debut in 2010, showcasing his skill in anchoring innings. His consistent performances played a crucial role in India's Test series victories abroad. • Set a record to score the most runs (1,605) by a batsman in an Indian first-class season in February 2017 during the one-off Test match against Bangladesh.
• Pujara set a record of India's third-highest test partnership of 222 runs with Virat Kohli in South Africa and their highest in the second innings of a Test in South Africa.
• He is the second-fastest Indian player to score 1000 test runs
• Pujara is also the third batsman for India, and ninth overall, to bat for all five days in a Test.
