Andy Roddick

Born on 30^th August 1982 in Omaha, Andrew Stephen "Andy" Roddick is one of the greatest professional tennis players of the United States. The American Tennis star is best known for his powerful serving and off-forehand shots which never fail to make him earn points that lead him to victory.

• During the Davis Cup semi-final match of 2004, he gave his consummate serve with a speed of 249.4 km/h (155 mph) which was recorded as the fastest serve of professional tennis at that time.
• In 2004, he won the ESPY Award for Best Male Tennis Player.
• Roddick cogently reached the finals of the Masters Series nine times in between 2002-2010 and had won the title five times twice in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2010.
• He also holds the record of highest tiebreaks wins (18) in ATP world Tour 2007.
• He is the first ever male tennis player to receive the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award of the Year (2007) by the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health for his charity for the Tsunami and earthquake survivors.
