Raúl González Blanco

Born 27^th June 1977, Raúl González Blanco is a former Spanish footballer who is regarded as one of the most prominent Spanish players and considered as the key player in the history of Real Madrid. 

He has earned many achievements with his performances:-

• On 9 October 1996, Raúl won his first senior cap at FIFA World Cup qualification in Prague.
• Raul holds the record of the most number of appearances (746) for Real Madrid.
• Raul with Real Madrid appeared in 550 games of La Liga, a record in itself.
• In 2006, at the FIFA World Cup, Raul earned his 89th cap for Spain, defeating Belgium by the scores of 2-0.
• He was honored with the Ballon d'Or Silver award in 2001.
• He made a record for receiving the honor of "La Liga's Best Spanish Player" five times.
• In the year 2006, Raul was presented with “Gold Medal of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit” from the Govt. of Spain.
