Nybro sleddogclub is proud to precent EC dryland in sweden, Nybro togehter with IFFS and SDSF.
Svartbäcksmåla activity area is situated just south of Nybro city, approximately 33 km west of Kalmar.
It is one of the largest recreational areas found in any city in Sweden and its’ purpose is to develop and preserve the values connected to the beautiful nature and the outdoor activities that takes place here. Here you can enjoy a multitude of activities throughout the year. In the winter the slalom slopes and cross-country skiing trails offers great fun.
During the summer you can go walking, running, mountainbiking, trailrunning and hiking in the area and enjoy the nature just outside the city. There is also an outdoor gym close to the parking area. There are several neatly set up outside grills where you can light your own fire and barbeque your food, perfect for a hot summer evening or a snowy winter day.
Svartbäcksmåla is a nature reserve and here you can find old forests, winding streams and open landscapes easily available by the many tracks that run through the area.
There are many secluded places, calm resting areas and beautiful trails to walk on. The nature is valuable in itself and many threatened animals, insects and plants live here. If you are lucky, you can enjoy moose, roedeer, wild boar and many other creatures on your visit.
CATEGORIES AND DISTANCES PER HEAT (distances may be adjusted):
All trails have relatively soft surface. The trails have different characteristics for Canicross/1-dog scooter/Bikejoring (hilly and technical) and Rig/2-dog Scooter (flater). Every class will have two heats with interval start, 1 min starting interval for all classes, except 2 min for 8-dog rig. (shorter starting intervals or dual start may be used, if there are many participants). Teams with a time longer than 150% of the best time after the first heat in each class, will not be eligible to start in the second heat. This does not apply to junior classes. European Champion titles shall be awarded to the best (fastest) teams of each rated class of the European Championships providing at least five competitors from three countries are represented in Elite and Veteran classes and at least three competitors from two countries are represented in Junior classes. RNB-teams will be awarded European Champion titles in all the classes (except Canicross) if minimum five competitors from three countries are represented in Elite and Veteran classes and at least three competitors from two countries are represented in Junior classes. If a class doesn't have enough participants for European Champion title it will be cancelled.
The IFSS invites gold medal winners from the 2016 IFSS Dryland European Championship, the top three medallists of the European World Cup 2017/2018 to participate in the 2018 IFSS Dryland European Championship as pre-selected participants in their respective classes. Each National Voting Member in good standing with IFSS Europe (all dues paid) is entitled to nominate three (3) open + three (3) RNB teams in each class (only three teams in Canicross) in addition to its pre-selected participants. Each Provisional Member in good standing with IFSS Europe (all dues paid) is entitled to nominate one (1) open + one (1) RNB team in each class (only one team in Canicross) in addition to its pre-selected participants. All selected competitors must hold a valid DID number.
