Yoyogi National Gymnasium is one of the renowned arenas of the world, situated in Yoyogi Park; Tokyo. It is constructed in between 1961-1964, famous all over the world for its large suspension roof design, sketched by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange. The design of this Gymnasium is inspired by the Frei Otto's arena designs of the Olympic Stadium in Munich and holds the capacity of around 13,000 people. At present, the arena is also used for basketball, futsal and Ice Hockey. The main gym of this gymnasium holds the capacity of conducting various games such as swimming events, basketball and hockey games.
