James Edward Charles Franklin was born on 7th November 1980 in Wellington. He is a professional cricket player from New Zealand who is regarded as a first class middle order batsman. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler, capable of swinging the ball.
His Achievements:-
- Aided New Zealand in winning against Bangladesh in the 2004–05 Test Series which was played in Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Became one of the only two New Zealand cricketers to take a hat-trick in Test cricket; he achieved this feat in New Zealand vs. Bangladesh match Test Series on 20th October 2004, hosted by Bangladesh.
- Won the "Man of the Match" award in the 2013 NatWest Series against England which was held in Durham
