Tianjin Olympic Centre Stadium

Tianjin Olympic Centre Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue, located in Tianjin, China. It is one of the famous football venues that host both national as well as international sports events. The design of the stadium is based on water and commonly referred as “Water Drop”. The stadium was designed by AXS SATOW Inc. (Japan), reflecting the three Olympic concepts - "Green Olympics," "High-tech Olympics," and "People's Olympics". It covers about 78,000 square meters of land with a seating capacity of around 60,000. The center has three sections: the competition section, the comprehensive section, and the accommodation section. The competition section consists of a grand stadium, an aquatic sports center, an international sports exchange center, and an existing Tianjin sports indoor stadium. The stadium consists of a large indoor parking lot, exhibition hall, dining room, health care centers, a section for athletes and referees, sports and exercise hall, international convention center, and gyms. It also encloses entertainment and shopping complexes. The stadium serves as a traditional venue for local football matches.
