The Stockholm Olympic Stadium, also known as the Stockholms Stadion locally, is a multi-utility stadium, situated in Stockholm, Sweden. The stadium is currently home to the Djurgårdens IF Fotboll (women), a football club from Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm Olympic Stadium was opened in the year 1912 after a span of two years of construction. The arena has a capacity ranging from 13,145 to 14,500 spectators for sports events that can be extended to 33,000 for concerts. Originally built for hosting the 1912 Summer Olympics, it witnessed the athletics, equestrian, football, gymnastics, pentathlon, tug of war and wrestling events. Swedish architect Torben Grut designed the stadium.
