Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium at Kochi in the state of Kerala is regionally known as Kaloor International Stadium. Established in 1996, this stadium hosts both cricket and football matches. Many international cricket matches have taken place at this stadium. It is the home ground of the state cricket team of Kerala and Kerala Blasters F.C. that plays in the Indian Super League. The ground is also used for important exhibitions, cinema events and other big gatherings, and has 109 Executive Suites. It is owned and operated by the Greater Cochin Development Authority and was built under the supervision of authority head V.J.Thomas.
