Estadio Olímpico Universitario is a much-publicised multi-purpose stadium, situated in Ciudad Universitaria, Mexico City. It was opened in the year 1952 and best known for hosting the athletic events of the Summer Olympics in the year 1968. The main architects involved in designing and making the stadium a dream come true were Jorge Bravo Moro, Augusto Perez, and Raul Salinas. An all-weather running track known as "Tartan Track" was used for the first time in the Olympics.
