The Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards (formerly known as the National adventure awards) was established by the Government of India in the year 1993, with the motive of encouraging the adventure activities on land, air and water and recognizing the achievements of individuals in the field of adventurous sports.
This award is equivalent to the Arjuna Awards and carries a cash prize of Rs.3 lacs along with a bronze statue and a roll of honor.
