The International Hockey Federation presents the awards annually to the most outstanding players, coaches and umpires in a given calendar year. The Hockey Awards were established in 1998 and have been awarded every year since then.
It is an award presented annually to the best male and female player among several other players of international hockey in the given year. The winners are decided by a peer and public vote.
The FIH Goalkeeper of the Year is an annual award given to the best male and female goalkeeper of the year in international hockey. The winners are decided by a peer and public vote.
This award by FIH is an accolade for the most promising and phenomenal young male and female player of the year aged 23 and under. The winners are selected by a peer and public vote.
FIH Coach of the year is the award given to the most significant male and female coach in the sport of field hockey. The winners are decided by an FIH panel.
This award is given annually to one male and one female umpire who has made a great contribution to field hockey umpiring throughout the year. The winners are decided by the FIH Officials Committee.
This trophy is given in the memory of "Pablo Negre," a renowned leader in the sport of hockey to a National Association who has by its activities and initiatives made the sport popular during past two years.
This trophy is awarded in the memory of Mr. Rene G. Frank who was the FIH Secretary General (1950-1966) and President (1966-1983). It is presented to a team (men, women, junior, senior) or an individual who has shown the greatest spirit of sportsmanship in the past two to four years.
FIH presents this award every two years in the memory of "Guust Lathouwers" to recognise his contribution in the field of umpiring. It is awarded to an individual for his ace services given in the development and promotion of umpiring.
Theo Ykema Award is bestowed to a national association that has developed new initiatives, increased hockey activities, increased participation in tournaments & events and increased in the number of members like qualified officials and players.
This award is named after Etienne Glichitch, the Hon. Secretary of the FIH from 1966 until 1984 and is presented to an individual, Continental Federation or National Association who has made a significant contribution to the development and growth of hockey at local, national, continental or international level.
This award is given in honour of late HRH Sultan Azlan Shah, former King of Malaysia to a person who has made an extraordinary contribution to hockey and served as an inspirational role model both in and outside of hockey.
FIH presents the Golden Whistle Award to the International umpires after the completion of their 100th official senior international matches.
These awards are presented as a special honour to individuals who have served on the council for a minimum of ten years or to non-FIH members for their outstanding contribution to the sport of hockey.
FIH bestows this award to individuals, whether member or non-member of FIH for their continuous contribution over an extended period, for the positive development of hockey as a sport.
The Diploma of Merit is awarded to members or ex-members of FIH for their commitment and contribution which have helped develop hockey as a sport. It is awarded for the contribution made over a shorter period of time.
FIH bestows the President's award to non-members of FIH for their valuable services presented to hockey and for the enrichment of the sport at international level.
