This award is given annually to one male and one female umpire who has made a great contribution to field hockey umpiring throughout the year. The winners are decided by the FIH Officials Committee.
This trophy is awarded in the memory of Mr. Rene G. Frank who was the FIH Secretary General (1950-1966) and President (1966-1983). It is presented to a team (men, women, junior, senior) or an individual who has shown the greatest spirit of sportsmanship in the past two to four years.
This award is named after Etienne Glichitch, the Hon. Secretary of the FIH from 1966 until 1984 and is presented to an individual, Continental Federation or National Association who has made a significant contribution to the development and growth of hockey at local, national, continental or international level.
FIH presents the Golden Whistle Award to the International umpires after the completion of their 100th official senior international matches.
FIH bestows this award to individuals, whether member or non-member of FIH for their continuous contribution over an extended period, for the positive development of hockey as a sport.
FIH bestows the President's award to non-members of FIH for their valuable services presented to hockey and for the enrichment of the sport at international level.
