Participants are required to wear gloves made of thicker material to cover the palms. Gloves made from thin nylon are not acceptable. The gloves used can be fingerless and made of leather.
The participants are required to wear helmets all the time during the event. It should meet the safety standards of ASTM, SNELL and CPSC.
The participants have to wear shoes with full upper dermis covering the foot entirely. Wearing sandals or thongs is strictly prohibited.
All the participants are required to follow the registered requirement guidelines of wheel size and the crank length.
The races are generally held for 100m - 800m distances. However, dismounting of the unicycle is only allowed during the 800m or in relay races.
If any rider's wheel crosses the starting line before the start signal, then it is considered as a false start.
The rider can overtake another rider from the outside path only if an ample amount of space is provided. Otherwise overtaking will lead to a penalty.
