The participants must use an ironing board that has a minimum length of 1 meter and a width of 30 centimetres. The board must have legs.
The irons used in the event should be the real one made from iron. The use of plastic irons is completely prohibited.
The participants can use any size of garment/ clothing for ironing, but the size should not be less than a tea towel.
Championship Sections
There are different sections under which the athletes are judged during a championship -
Urban Section - The participants in this section iron in / on / around any broken car.
Water section - The participants use their surfboards, canoes or rubber rings to iron on a fast-flowing river.
Forest Section - It includes ironing in a forest with a sharp climb or top of the trees.
Lauda Section - It includes a climbing wall in which the participants have to climb up to a high surface and iron a t-shirt.
Freestyle Section - In this, the participants can iron anything and anywhere. The choice of the venue is entirely independent in extreme freestyle ironing.
