Any player onside may take the ball after the kick off
Any player may throw or kick the ball
Any player may hold, tackle or push the opponent who is holding the ball
What so ever a player does he is allowed so but it must be within the laws of the game.
Scoring
The scoring is of the following types
Try- It is said to be scored when the attacking player is first to ground the ball into the opponent’s goal. The goal awards 5 points.
Penalty Try- A penalty try is scored when the player has scored a try but for a foul play by an opponent. This try awards 5 points to the team.
Conversion Goal- A conversion kick can be a place kick or a drop kick which is scored when a player scores a try which gives his team the right to go for a goal by taking a kick at the goal.
Penalty Goal- It is said to be scored when the ball is kicked from a penalty kick.
Dropped Goal- A dropped goal is said to be scored when the player kicks the ball from a drop kick in general play.
Foul Play
Anything or any act done by the player that is out of the spirit of the game is termed as foul play.
Charging or pushing the opponent.
Running in front of the ball carrier
Blocking the tackler
Blocking the ball
Ball carrier running into the team-mate
Whereas unfair play includes
Offending Intentionally
Wasting the time
Throwing the ball into touch
Kicking
Tripping
Stamping or trampling
Punching or striking
Cards
Yellow Cards- A red card is awarded to the player by the referee which indicates caution or temporary suspension. Red Card- This card is shown when a player has been sent off.
