Scoring in real tennis is same as that in lawn tennis i.e. to win a game the player has to win four points or at least two points ahead of his opponent. The first player who gains six games wins the set.
The other rule is that the score of the player who has won the last point is called first.
Service is allowed only from one end of the court and for the service to be correct; it must touch half of the side penthouse at the receiver’s end; the ball may also touch the side penthouse at the server’s end or the side wall.
The ball is termed out if it strikes the side walls above the marked limits or hits one of the rafters or lights.
Hitting the net post loses the stroke
