The match of Quidditch begins only when the Quaffle and the Bludgers came forward and take their position at the centre of the field.
There are 7 players on each team, and they start while being in their keeper zone eyes closed. This is done to ensure that none of the players can see the Golden Snitch.
When the golden snitch is significantly away from the referee, then only he/she can call for starting the match by shouting "Brooms up".
The teams score goals by throwing the quaffle into the net placed on the opposition team's side. The team which scores more points or captures the golden snitch wins the game.
Majorly, there is no set time limit for the match because as soon as the golden snitch is caught, a team wins the match.
Any player who is hit by a Bludger during the gameplay should dismount his/her broomstick on the ground. After this, he/she has to run back and touch the team's net and then only resume the match.
The players are allowed to use physical strength against other team players to capture the quaffle or for preventing the opponents from scoring a goal.
The seeker of both the teams focuses solely on capturing the golden snitch to immediately stop the game and conquer the winning title for their respective teams. The successful catch is required to be announced by the Snitch Referee.
The playing ground or the pitch is a rectangular field of 60 by 36 yards long. On the field, there are three hoops placed on the end where goals are hit.
The three hoops placed on the ground are of varying heights of 3 feet, 4.5 feet and 6 feet.
