The home ground of Stade de Reims, Stade Auguste-Delaune is amongst those soccer stadiums of France that are reliable for club matches and their picturesque scenes for spectators. Officially opened on 2nd June 1935, Stade Auguste-Delaune has gone through various major and minor renovations to provide ace services to its visitors amongst which the biggest one was in between 2004- 2008. The new designs and structural formats were the brainchildren of architect Michel Rémon.

Trivia

The stadium has solar panels that produce around 70,000 kWh every year.

Significance

The first goal at the stadium was scored by an Ivorian striker Franck Dja Djedje that played for FC Grenoble on loan.
It is well known for its unique design and swelling roof structure projected by architects Chaix & Morel.
State des Alpes has been selected to host the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup matches.
