Rose Bowl Stadium is a historic outdoor stadium located in Pasadena, California, United States, approximately 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The stadium is best known for its distinctive horseshoe-shaped design and its long association with American football.
The Rose Bowl opened in 1922 and has served as the home field of the UCLA Bruins football team since 1982. It is also the site of the annual Rose Bowl Game, one of the most prestigious postseason games in college football.
The stadium has hosted several major international sporting events. It was a venue for the 1984 Summer Olympics, including football matches, and hosted the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final, in which Brazil defeated Italy on penalties.
