The RingCentral Coliseum, formerly known as O.co Coliseum and commonly known as the Oakland Coliseum, is a multi-purpose sports stadium in Oakland in the California city of United States. The stadium predominantly used for conducting Baseball, Soccer, and Football games. The construction work began in 1964 and the stadium was inaugurated on 18th September 1966. It underwent significant renovation in between 1995-1996. It has a scoreboard of height 36 feet and width 145 feet. Tifway II Bermuda Grass has been installed on the playing surface for convenient play. The stadium serves as the home stadium to Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).

Trivia

The Coliseum has an underground architectural design where the playing surface is 21 feet/6 meters below sea level.

Significance

During the "360° Tour" on 7th June 2011, U2 performed here with Lenny Kravitz and Moonalice as their opening act.
The Oakland Coliseum Stadium hosted the East–West Shrine Game on 2nd January 1971.
In the year 1987, Major League Baseball All-star Game was conducted at this stadium.
In the year 1989, the team Oakland Athletics won their 4th series at this arena.
The stadium served as the location for the Disney movie "Angels in the Outfield", filmed in the year 1994.
