The Notre Dame Stadium is primarily an outdoor football stadium, located in Notre Dame in the United States. The construction work to build this beautiful stadium commenced in 1929 and was opened to the public on 4th October 1930, replacing the Cartier Field stadium. The architect group involved in designing the stadium was Osborn Engineering. The original seating capacity was around 60,000 which was increased to 84,000 after almost six decades. The field originally had grass turf which was replaced with artificial turf after 84 seasons of play. Many historic games have been played here in which numerous records were created. This is one of the major sports venues in the city.
