Significance

• On 4th February 1924, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined events were conducted on the Springboard.
• This stadium was the venue for the 1937 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in which Norwegian ski jumper Birger Ruud won a gold medal. This was the first official FIS Nordic Ski Championship. A total of five events were held at the venue.
• Jumping events of the World Cup have been conducted here several times in the years 1981, 1985, 1986, 1989, 1995, and 1998.
• The events of Universiade competition were held at Le Tremplin Olympique du Mont in the year 1960.
• The Chamonix International competition had been held at this venue during the years 1967, 1969 and 1979. These events usually span over a week’s time, and hence the competition was called the Chamonix International Week.
• The United Nations Grand Prix events were held here in the years 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974 and 1976 and 1979.
