The Kansas Speedway is a famous race track of Kansas City in the United States. Built in 2001, the track is owned and operated by the International Speedway Corporation. Architecture firm HNTB designed the facility, and the Turner Construction Company was selected for construction management. It hosts two annual NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) races in weekends. The speedway has tri-oval of length 2.414 km whereas the road course is 3.81 km long.

Trivia

The Penn National Gaming Hollywood Hotel and Casino has been constructed at the track with an estimated amount of $380-million.

Significance

Richard Petty Driving Experience and Kansas Speedway announced an agreement in 2011 that visitors would be allowed to experience the track by driving the race cars.
On 7th October 2011, an ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) race was held at the track.
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series- the "Go Bowling 400" races are held at Kansas Speedway.
Kansas Speedway also hosts the Hollywood Casino 400 which is a 400.5-mile Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series stock car races.
The Kansas Speedway hosts the Kansas ARCA 150- an ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race.
The Grand Prix of Kansas (2013-2014) was conducted here on 6th and 7th July 2013.
A regional stock car racing division of NASCAR "Winston West" organized the Kansas 100 race at the Speedway in 2001.
It also conducts the Toyota Tundra 250, a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
The arena also hosts the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship which is a sports car racing series, based on the United States and Canada (organized by the International Motor Sports Association).
