The Colonial Life Arena is a multi-purpose stadium, located in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. The construction work was commenced on 25th April 2001 and an estimated amount of $65 million was spent on it. The chief architecture firm involved in designing the structure of the stadium are Rosser International Inc. and JHS Architects. After a year, it was finally opened to the public on 21st November 2002 with a name "Carolina Center". The Colonial Life Arena is owned by the University of South Carolina and operated by Spectra (a Philadelphia-based American sports and entertainment company). The arena has been the home for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the NCAA since 2002. It has also been the stamping ground for the Columbia Stingers of the NIFL in the year 2007.
