The Birkebeineren Ski Stadium, located in Lillehammer, Norway is a cross-country skiing and biathlon venue. The area has been divided into two states, one for cross country with 31,000 seats and another one for biathlon with 13,500 seats. The construction started in early 1991, managed by Lillehammer Olympic Organizing Committee and lasted till 1992. The stadium was officially opened on 28th November 1992 with an international biathlon competition. It was originally built to host the 1994 Winter Olympics but was subsequently used for the 1994 Winter Paralympics for Paralympic biathlon and Paralympic Nordic skiing.
