Autzen Stadium is a well-known American football stadium, located just to the north of the University of Oregon campus. It serves as the home ground for the Oregon Ducks of the Pac-12 Conference. The stadium was opened on September 23, 1967. It was built on an artificial landfill. Before 1967, Oregon Duck’s stadium was Hayward Field which they had to share with other teams. It was then that Oregon's athletic director Leo Harris thought of building the stadium. The current capacity of the stadium is 54,000 which can be extended to 60,000.
