Sharjah Cricket Stadium is a cricket centric sports stadium located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The stadium was originally built in the 1980s and hosted its first cricket matches in April 1984 during the Asia Cup. Sharjah cricket ground was the venue for 206 ODIs between 1984 and 2003; the matches were a part of a one-day tournament commercially sponsored and involving three or four international teams. It was a famous cricket venue, attracting good crowds from the South Asian population of the UAE. Sharjah is one of the few cricket grounds on which a Test match has been played not involving the home country as a participant (and the only one in a non-Test playing nation). Sharjah stadium also hosted several domestic T20 leagues, including PSL and IPL. The ground has 65-meter boundary in mid-wicket, 62m boundary in long on and 58m in straight.
