Located in the 'Sunshine City' of Harare in Zimbabwe, the National Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose venue. It is one of the biggest stadia of Zimbabwe, mostly used for Football and Rugby matches. The stadium was built in the year 1987, primarily financed by the Chinese Government. The total seating capacity is 60,000 and the seating plan for the stadium is distributed in bays. The stadium houses 31 bays to accommodate the spectators. Built across a massive area of 17 acres, the stadium also has a separate VIP area that can accommodate 240 people. The state-of-the-art infrastructure of this stadium is widely talked about and provides ample of facilities and comforts to the spectators during an event. It underwent a major renovation in 2007 and reopened in 2009. It houses a sports museum inside it which treasures all the important memories of events the arena has witnessed. CAPS United F.C. uses the field for most of their home games.
