The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is also known as the Nassau Coliseum. It is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Uniondale, New York, opened for public in the year 1972. It was temporarily shut for renovation and was re-opened in early 2017. It is located approximately 19 miles (31 km) east of New York City on Long Island and is famous for its unique architectural design. The location of the coliseum-Mitchel Field was the former site of Army and Air Force base. The Coliseum also hosts sports events, concerts, conferences and even trade shows.
