The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is a multi-purpose indoor stadium and center of excellence for ice sports, situated in the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, England. The construction work to build this marvellous piece of architecture began in 1993 and took seven years to complete. It was opened to the spectators on 1st April 2000 by an Olympic gold medalist Jayne Torvill in an official ceremony. The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is owned by Nottingham City Council and has been operated by Nottingham Ice Centre Ltd. The arena was known as the “Nottingham Arena” from the year 2000 to 2008. It has hosted over a thousand concerts, comedy acts, sports events and family shows since its opening.
