Kyle Field is the home ground of Texas A&M Aggie football team since its foundation in 1904. It is located on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station, Texas, United States. In 1904, Edwin Jackson Kyle ( a professor of horticulture and the then president of the General Athletics Association of Texas A&M University) initiated for the stadium to promote school's athletics and gave significant efforts in building the arena. At present, it is the fourth largest stadium in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) as well as in the United States.

Trivia

On 22nd September 2001 (just eleven days after the September 11 attacks), the students of the University organized a "Red, White and Blue-Out" where each deck of the stadium was assigned a different color shirt to be worn for the first game for the Aggies after the attacks, against Oklahoma State.
More than $150,000 were raised in the shirt sales and were given to FDNY (Fire Department of the City of New York) charities.

Significance

In 1921, the November game at Kyle Field played between the University of Texas and their archrival the Texas A&M Aggies was the first college football game to offer a live, play-by-play broadcast.
On 26th November 1999, just a week after the breakdown of the Aggie Bonfire, the Texas A&M Aggies beat the 5th-ranked Texas Longhorns by 20–16 in an emotional comeback game. The match was witnessed by a record attendance of 86,128 spectators.
In 2011, Texas A&M's last scheduled game against the University of Texas Longhorns and it's ultimate Big 12 Conference football game was conducted here on 24th November.
On 8th September 2012, the stadium hosted Texas A&M's first Southeastern Conference (SEC) football game against the University of Florida Gators. Florida won the match by 20-17.
A giant video board "12th Man TV" has been installed in the south end zone of the stadium. At the time, this 3,954-square-foot LED video board has been counted amongst the top ten largest video boards in the world.
It hosted the high school football game-"Cross-Town Showdown" between the Bryan Vikings and the A&M Consolidated Tigers from 1990 to 2013.
