Located in Lubbock, Texas (United States), Jones AT&T Stadium is a part of the campus of Texas Tech University. It is an outdoor athletic stadium and also the home ground of Texas Tech Red Raiders (a football team of Big 12 Conference) since 1947. It was opened on 29th November 1947, initially known as the "Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium". The architects involved in designing the stadium were Haynes & Kirby Parkhill, Smith & Cooper. The unique Double T scoreboard which is modelled in the fashion of Texas Tech's logo is placed on the roof of the athletic department offices in the south end zone of the stadium. It had a natural grass playing surface until 1970, after which it was replaced with AstroTurf. Field Turf was installed to the stadium in 2006 on which field sports are held even today.
