Heritage Bank Center, formerly known as the U.S. Bank Arena, situated in Cincinnati, alongside the Ohio River bank and is adjacent to the Great American Ball Park. Established in September 1975, U.S. Bank Arena was formerly designated as the "Riverfront Coliseum" because of its proximity to the Riverfront Stadium. It has also been renamed "The Crown" in 1997 and again as the "Firstar Center" in 1999. The present chief tenant of the Heritage Bank Center is the Cincinnati Cyclones. The field has formerly served as the home ground for the World Hockey Association's team Cincinnati Stingers. In between 1975-1979, two minor league games of hockey have been conducted here. Other games and sports that have been held here include wrestling, tennis and figure skating. Apart from games, several rallies and performances have also been conducted in the arena.

Trivia

In 1997, $14 million were spent on this arena for its refurbishment by Doug Kirchhofer who was the owner of the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Significance

Elvis Presley performed in a concert hosted by the venue on 25th June 1977. Around 17,140 persons visited the venue to watch his performance.
The World Choir Games of 2012 were initiated in a ceremonious manner in this arena. The closing event of the Games was also held here.
The World Figure Skating Championships was hosted by the venue in 1987.
The arena has witnessed the Horizon League men's basketball conference tournament in 1992.
The Rock concert held on 9th September 1975, featuring the Allman Brothers Band along with the special guest Muddy Waters was the first show staged in this arena which was witnessed by around 16,721 spectators.
