Forsyth Barr Stadium is a well-known multi-purpose arena, also known as Dunedin Stadium as it is located in Dunedin, New Zealand. It is colloquially called 'the glasshouse' as it looks like a Horticulture hothouse. This stadium hosted the Rugby World Cup in 2011. It is owned by Dunedin City Council and managed by Dunedin Venues Management Ltd.

Trivia

The Forsyth Barr is the world’s first fully enclosed grass stadium, designed as a joint venture by the architecture firms Populous and Jasmax.

Significance

The venue had hosted the pre-season rugby league between New Zealand and Brisbane Broncos in 2013.
In 2015, Forsyth Barr was chosen as one of the venues to host the FIFA-U 20 World Cup. This stadium hosted six group stage matches and a match for the round of 16.
Forsyth Barr had always been a center for the musical performances of great musicians and singers such as Elton John, Paul Simon, Tinie Tempah, Rod Stewart. It has also witnessed live concerts in 2015 and 2016 where famous artists such as Neil Diamond and Black Sabbath have performed.
Forsyth Barr had hosted a Four Nations match in 2014 between New Zealand and England where New Zealand edged out England by 16-14.
