Fenway Park in Boston, United States is a popular baseball park, owned and operated by the Fenway Sports Group. Being the oldest park for Major League Baseball, it has hosted the World Series in the year 1912 as its inaugural event. Not only baseball but it also hosts many national and international football leagues along with cultural as well as recreational activities.

Fenway Park is home to the world famous basketball club, “Boston Red Sox” which is also the Franchise of the Major League Basketball.

Significance

On 7th March 2012, the park's name was registered in the “National Register of Historic Places”.
Fenway Park has Kentucky Blue Grass surface. This park first started as a baseball field where its first ever match was played on 20th April 1912. The first pitch was thrown by the then Mayor, John F. Fitzgerald.
The Fenway Park had served as the home ground for Boston Redskins, Boston Patriots, and Boston Yanks.
This park is famous and known for its unique features such as “The Triangle”, “The Green Monster”, “The Lone Red Seat”, “Williamsburg”, “Foul Poles” and “Duffy’s Cliff”.
Fenway Park has hosted many concerts where celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighter, The Rolling Stone, Jimmy Buffett and Paul McCartney have performed.
Fenway Park has hosted the third annual NHL Winter Classic, a hockey tournament on 1st January 2010.
The first ever big air snowboarding & skiing competition known as "Polartec Big Air at Fenway" was held at Fenway Park on 11th and 12th February 2016.
