The Estadio Nemesio Camacho Stadium has been named in honor of Nemesio Camacho. He was the manager of the streetcar system of Bogotá and also the father of Luis Camacho who donated the land where the stadium had been constructed.

The name "Campin" comes from the word "camping" as the land where the stadium stands today, was used to be a camping zone.
Estadio Nemesio Camacho is situated in Bogotá, Colombia. It is the main stadium of Bogotá, opened on 10th August 1938. An estimated amount of $25 million (U. S. dollars) was spent on the construction of the stadium. The chief architect who designed the Estadio Nemesio Camacho was Federico Leder Müller. It underwent a major renovation in 2010. The Estadio Nemesio Camacho is commonly known as "El Campín" and has been used as a home ground by Millonarios Football Club since 1938. It has also been used by Independiente Santa Fe Football team since 1952. It is owned by IDRD (Bogotá, the largest city in Colombia).
Significance
- A soccer match (on 10th August 1938) between Ecuador and Colombia was the first match held at this stadium. Team Ecuador defeated Colombia by 2-1.
- The stadium played host to the final match of the 2001 Copa América, held on 29th July where Colombia defeated Mexico.
- It was one of the eight stadiums of Colombia selected to host the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
- Prominent American singer Lady Gaga performed here as a part of her third concert tour "The Born This Way Ball" on 6th November 2012.
- Justin Bieber performed in Colombia for the first time at this stadium on 29th October 2013, as a part of his "Believe Tour".
- The Rolling Stones performed at the stadium as a part of their "Olé Tour" on 10th March 2016. It was the first time that the band was performing in Colombia.
