Located in Morumbi district in São Paulo, Brazil, Morumbi Stadium is a football stadium, commonly referred as 'Morumbi' or 'Estádio do Morumbi'. The construction work of the stadium began on 15th August 1952, and it finally opened to the spectators on 2nd October 1960. The structure was designed by a Brazilian modernist architect João Batista Vilanova Artigas. professional football club São Paulo FC owned and managed the stadium. Earlier, they used to play their home matches at the Chácara da Floresta stadium. It underwent various renovations in between 1994-2016, developing it into a preferable stage to conduct football matches.
