The Estadio Centenario is primarily used as a football stadium, located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The stadium was built between 1929-1930 to host the 1930 FIFA World Cup. Though all World Cup matches were intended to be conducted here, heavy rains delayed the construction. Hence a few matches were played in other stadiums.
