Bislett Stadium is located in Oslo, Norway and is considered Norway’s most famous stadium. It has been the home ground for the Skeid Fotball team since 2007 and Lyn football team since 2014. It has also served as the home field for Valerenga Fotball from 1944 to 1999. The stadium opened in 1922 and is owned as well as operated by the Oslo Municipality. As an old stadium, it went through a renovation in 2004 and is now transformed into a modern stadium that meets the international requirements for field and track events. Other than athletics, speed skating, bandy, football, rugby has also been played here. The stadium has conducted many important games including the 1952 Winter Olympics, IAAF Golden League, Bislett Games and 1946 European Athletics Championship.
