AMP was ranked amongst the "Top Ten Tracks" in North America by "Road and Track" in the year 2016.
Atlanta Motorsports Park is situated at Dawson County, in Georgia, United States, a major kart circuit comprising of a two-mile long track with sixteen turns and 98 feet of elevation that changes throughout the entire course. Atlanta Motorsports' Kart circuit is 0.85 miles long and can conduct three events, being splitted into four separate tracks. It also provides a plethora of luxury and amenities services, comprising of members-lounge, fitness center, kid’s play room, meeting rooms, car elevator, catering kitchen, audio/video systems, and wine and humidor room. although AMP is a public facility, it also has a membership component and offers four different types of memberships.
Significance
- AMP was also featured in an episode of "Motoman" where J. Notaras (Motoman) interviewed the Vice President of Cadillac and drove a Cadillac ATS around the track.
- AMP was among the significant venues of a charity driving event named 'Taste of Speed’s Rally for CURE 2013', that raised funds for children who have cancer.
- AMP held the Inaugural "ChumpCar World Series Race" in November 2013, which was the first official race there.
- AMP hosts a variety of kart races including Endurance Karting, WKA, Chump car, SCCA, NASA World Racing League, Procup Karting League, member racing series, time trials, and the Public Karting Racing Series.
- It was used for filming a commercial for the "Ford Escape EcoBoost" challenge which was aired in March 2013.
- AMP has two “signature” corners constructed as a tribute to Europe’s road circuits. They are Belgium’s Spa-Francochamps and Germany’s Nurburgring.
