Arthur Ashe Stadium is a well-known tennis stage, located in Queen’s Borough, New York. It is the main stadium of the US Open tennis tournament and is marked as the largest tennis stadium in the world regarding capacity (23,771). The stadium was opened on 25th August 1997 by hosting the US Open. Famous American singer Whitney Houston sang at the inauguration ceremony of the stadium. Initially, the stadium did not comprise of a roof but after suffering successive years of event delays, a new lightweight retractable roof was added to the design and completed in 2016. The stadium has blue courts in contrast with the yellow tennis ball used while playing.
