Arena Zagreb is the largest multifunctional hall in Croatia that was initially built to host the 2009 Handball World Championship. The arena is located in the southwestern part of Zagreb, Croatia. It was officially opened on 17th of January 2009. It has a huge seating capacity and serves shopping center, multiplex cinema, wellness center, numerous restaurants, cafes, and stores. The arena has witnessed numerous sporting competitions, concerts, exhibitions, fairs, conventions, and congresses, earning prominence as an invaluable icon of Croatia because of its capacity, multi-functionality, and technical equipment. The architect of the arena is UPI-2M Ltd. The main contractors were TriGránit (from Hungary) and Ingra (from Croatia).
