The World Series of Boxing (commonly referred as the WSB) is a professional boxing tournament of international level, held every year, throughout the world. It is a competition that allows the participants to maintain the Olympic eligibility. Organized by AIBA, the World Series of Boxing competitors should be bare-chested and headgear isn’t allowed. Like professional boxing, the winner is selected by judges.

Competition Format

The winner is decided by knock-out or judges poll.
A total of 9 or 12 rounds is there, each being of 3 minutes (in the case of Super 8 there are three rounds).
If a fighter is knocked down, the opponent must back away to a neutral corner and allow the referee to count till 10 (knock-out if he cannot get back up) or call for the fight to be continued.
Violation of the rules may force the referee to deduct points or disqualify a boxer.
If a fighter takes an unintentional low blow, then he is given 5 minutes’ time to recuperate.
