The Australian Women's Masters is an international level chess tournament, held in Melbourne, Australia, every year. Gary Bekker and Jamie Kenmure both have been the sponsors and the organizers of the competition. The tournament is invitational. The format of the Australian Women's Masters is round-robin (every player faces or competes against every player at certain stages). It is a 10-player tournament.

Competition Format

The tournament is conducted under the strict criteria of FIDE.
The Australasian Women’s Masters conduct games that offer Grand Master (GM) norm to players. The norm is given for a high-level performance by a player in a chess tournament, and several such norms are required to get the title of Grandmaster from FIDE.
Ten players participate in the tournament. Each player faces the other nine players in a round-robin system of the game. For each of the game points are accumulated according to FIDE’s criteria and at the end, the winner is determined based on the final tally.
